Tangipahoa Water District has lifted a precautionary boil advisory for Eastern Heights after Louisiana Department of Health testing found the water safe.
Tangipahoa Water District has rescinded a limited precautionary boil advisory for Eastern Heights after Louisiana Department of Health lab testing showed the water was safe for consumption.
The district said the advisory, issued on April 6, followed storms that caused a break in a 4-inch water main serving the Eastern Heights Water System in Loranger.
The affected area included Hwy 1054 South from Hwy 16 to Vicari Road, along with connecting roads including Saragusa Road, Clement Road, Alexander Road, Toney Road, Golf Course Road, N. Populis and S. Populis.
The district posted the rescission on April 7, ending the brief precautionary alert. WDSU had reported the original advisory on April 6 and said it would be lifted after samples were tested and cleared.
Tangipahoa Water District did not report any further restrictions in the alert reviewed for this update.
