PMNCH is promoting a WHA79 partner event in Geneva and online on adolescent health and well-being, backed by WHO, UNICEF and other global partners.
PMNCH is promoting a World Health Assembly side event in Geneva focused on adolescent health and well-being, with the session taking place on 19 May 2026 as part of WHA79 programming.
The event, titled "Accelerating Action for Adolescent Health and Well-Being in a Changing World," is scheduled for 11:30-14:00 CET in Geneva and will also be available online. PMNCH says the session is part of the WHA79 partner-event program.
According to PMNCH, the event is co-hosted with WHO-HRP, Fondation Botnar, World Vision International, UNICEF, SheDecides, MSI and the Government of Sweden.
WHO’s WHA79 information confirms that the Seventy-ninth World Health Assembly is being held in Geneva from 18 to 23 May 2026. WHO also identifies adolescent well-being as an established priority area in its work with partners.
The event announcement does not include policy outcomes or commitments yet. For now, it signals a coordinated push by health and child-rights organizations to keep adolescent well-being on the WHA79 agenda.
