UK boards and detains sanctioned Russian shadow fleet tanker in the English Channel

British armed forces boarded and detained the Cameroon-flagged tanker Smyrtos in the English Channel in what officials said was the UK’s first independently led interdiction of a Russian shadow-fleet vessel. Ukraine launches long-range strikes on military and energy sites in Russia
