Forecasters say the Philadelphia region will see a drier Friday before more rain chances return over the weekend and into Monday.
Rain chances are not done yet in the Philadelphia region.
NBC10 Philadelphia says most of Wednesday’s rain is moving out, but a few showers or an isolated thunderstorm could still linger this evening. The bigger shift comes Friday, when skies should brighten and the region should get a break from the wet weather.
That pause may not last long. Forecasts from NBC10, CBS Philadelphia and the National Weather Service all point to another round of rain chances over the weekend. Saturday could bring scattered showers, with a few thunderstorms possible in the afternoon or evening.
Mother’s Day itself still looks mostly warm and relatively dry in the latest guidance, but rain chances rise again Sunday night and may continue into Monday.
The National Weather Service forecast for the Philadelphia and Mount Holly area shows the same overall pattern: late-week showers, a drier Friday, then renewed precipitation chances into the weekend.
For anyone planning outdoor Mother’s Day plans, the best window still looks to be Friday and much of Sunday daytime, before the next round of showers arrives later in the weekend.
