Bartlett water customers have been told to boil water after reduced pressure in the municipal system triggered a precautionary notice.

A local report published on April 7 said the City of Bartlett issued the boil-water notice on April 6 because of reduced distribution system pressure. The report said the notice was routed through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The notice is a precautionary public-health measure typically used when water pressure drops enough to raise concern about possible contamination. Bartlett has previously posted similar boil-water notices and later rescinded them after testing cleared the water.

The city’s own March 2026 water-valve project update said new boil notices could follow outages as needed under TCEQ standards. The city’s earlier notices also show that Bartlett usually issues an update when conditions improve.

Residents seeking more information were directed to Adrian Flores in the local report. No rescission had been confirmed in the sources reviewed for this update.

Customers should follow the boil-water instructions until the city or water system says the notice has been lifted.
