Bowling Green State University, BGSU Firelands and Terra State Community College have formed a tri-county consortium aimed at strengthening interpersonal violence prevention and education across their northwest Ohio campuses.
The three institutions said they signed a memorandum of understanding on May 18 to create the Tri-County Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Education Consortium. The partnership is designed to coordinate prevention training, shared resources, referral pathways and campus safety support.
According to BGSU, the effort is supported by the Ohio Department of Higher Education Campus Collaborative Grant program. The university said the consortium has already begun offering training and learning opportunities for faculty, staff and students.
The collaboration ties together the main BGSU campus in Bowling Green, BGSU Firelands in Huron and Terra State in Fremont. University officials framed the effort as a regional approach to student safety and well-being.
The consortium also has a public landing page outlining its goals and contacts for the participating institutions. BGSU said the group will continue building shared tools and prevention resources as the work moves forward.
