Boston has launched its 2026 Neighborhood Coffee Hours series, a citywide public-engagement effort that will bring Mayor Michelle Wu and city staff into neighborhoods through the fall.

The city announced the series on May 18, with the first session in Chinatown and Bay Village. Boston said the gatherings are designed to give residents a chance to raise concerns, hear service updates and connect directly with city departments.

The events are being hosted by Wu alongside the Office of Neighborhood Services and Boston Parks and Recreation, according to the city.

Boston said the 2026 schedule will include morning, afternoon and evening sessions in select neighborhoods. The city also highlighted a May 27 coffee hour in Back Bay and Beacon Hill, which will include a ribbon-cutting celebration for the renovated Copley Square Park.

The coffee hour series extends a neighborhood-facing engagement approach that Wu’s administration has been promoting this year, with the latest launch now giving it a citywide calendar through the fall.
