England white-ball captain Harry Brook and all-rounder Jacob Bethell have been issued caution notices by the Cricket Regulator over their conduct during England’s tour of New Zealand last year.
The regulator said the case related to events in Wellington on the night of 31 October and 1 November 2025, before England’s third men’s one-day international against New Zealand.
According to the regulator, both Brook and Bethell accepted they breached regulation 3.2 of the Professional Conduct Regulations 2025. No further action was taken against fast bowler Josh Tongue.
The matter had already drawn attention earlier this year, when Brook publicly said he had not been alone during the incident and apologised for misleading comments made afterwards. Earlier reporting also said he had been fined by the ECB and warned over his conduct.
The Cricket Regulator said it had concluded its investigation. The case now appears closed unless the regulator issues any further public notice.
