Defqon.1 cancels the rest of its weekend festival

Q-dance said Defqon.1 will not continue for the rest of the weekend after the Netherlands' KNMI issued a code red warning for extreme heat.

The organizer said it made the decision together with authorities and that the Holy Grounds would close on Friday, June 26, 2026. Friday was limited to essential facilities and departures, with no musical programming.

The festival in Biddinghuizen had been scheduled to run from June 25 to June 28. Q-dance said the heat warning made it unsafe to continue.
