Diego Luna is set to join Disney’s live-action Tangled remake in a newly created role, according to industry reports.
TheWrap first reported the casting on May 1, saying Luna will appear in a part created for the film. The report said the role is being kept under wraps.
The same report said the movie is preparing to begin filming in Spain in June 2026. It also said Teagan Croft is set to play Rapunzel, Milo Manheim is set to play Flynn Rider, and Kathryn Hahn is set to play Mother Gothel.
Other entertainment outlets including Laughing Place and The DisInsider published similar reports, and The Times of India also repeated the casting update, citing Variety.
Disney has not publicly issued an official casting statement in the sources reviewed, and Luna’s role has not been disclosed.
The addition gives the live-action remake another recognizable name as the project moves toward production.
