Five Braves advance in 2026 All-Star Game voting

The Braves placed five position players into the decisive second phase of 2026 MLB All-Star Game voting, setting up a final round that will determine whether any of them start in Philadelphia.

Drake Baldwin, Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Michael Harris II all advanced out of the first phase, according to the latest voting update reported Thursday. Baldwin, Olson and Albies advanced by finishing in the top two at their respective positions in the National League. Acuña Jr. and Harris II moved on as two of the league’s top six outfield vote-getters.

How The Voting Broke Down

The Phase 2 field is smaller and more direct than the opening round. Baldwin advanced at catcher, Olson at first base and Albies at second base. Acuña Jr. and Harris II survived in a crowded outfield race, where the top six vote-getters move into the final ballot.

That means the Braves still have work to do. Advancing to the second phase keeps all five players alive, but it does not guarantee a starting assignment.

What Happens Next

MLB’s second phase of fan voting opens June 29 and closes July 2. Those head-to-head matchups will decide the starting lineups for the 2026 All-Star Game, which will be played in Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park.

The voting format also includes automatic starters for the top overall vote-getter in each league. Shohei Ohtani and Ernie Clement secured those spots after leading their leagues in the first phase.

For Atlanta, the significance is straightforward: five Braves remain in position to turn a strong first round into multiple All-Star starts. The most difficult path is in the outfield, where Acuña Jr. and Harris II must win directly against other finalists to earn those spots.

Fans can continue voting during the final round, and the Braves’ starters will not be settled until the second phase ends.
