The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Stehekin River at Stehekin in Chelan County, saying minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast to continue.

The warning was issued Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:16 a.m. PDT and remains in effect until the river falls below flood stage.

According to the warning, water at 20.5 feet can inundate some properties and overtop the temporary corduroy bridge. The National Weather Service also said Company Creek Road is inundated at the northern end, Battalion Creek culverts are beginning to be overtopped, and water is beginning to damage Wood Road.

Local reporting later Monday cited the same warning and noted road impacts in the Stehekin area.

Officials have not said when the river will drop below flood stage. Further advisories or closures could follow if conditions change.
