The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District has opened public review of a draft Program Environmental Impact Report for its proposed 2025 District Services Plan.
The district says the report was prepared under California environmental review rules to assess the potential effects of the plan. The services plan covers flood control, rural streams, stormwater drainage, water quality, water conservation, recreation and wildlife management.
According to the notice, the draft PEIR can be reviewed at the district office and on its website. Public comments are due by May 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
A scoping meeting is scheduled for April 29, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
The filing is a key step in the district’s planning process and opens the door for residents, agencies and other stakeholders to weigh in before the review moves forward.
