Global Power Solutions has signed a non-binding letter of intent to evaluate a data centre power development that could support up to 100 MW of decentralized energy infrastructure in North America.

The company said the LOI was signed with North American Data Centers and Power Ltd. and is intended to assess a planned high-density data centre campus. The agreement is still at the evaluation stage and does not guarantee a final project.

According to the company release, the work will cover technical, commercial, regulatory and financial factors. Either party can terminate the discussions, underscoring that the arrangement is preliminary.

The announcement adds to interest in power infrastructure tied to data centre growth, but the project remains dependent on further feasibility work and definitive agreements.

Global Power Solutions has positioned itself around modular and grid-independent power systems, and the company says this proposal fits that strategy.
