Lufthansa is extending its Allegris first-class product across more U.S.-bound flights, including Munich service to New York, Newark, Chicago, Miami, and San Diego, plus Frankfurt routes on Boeing 787s.
Lufthansa is expanding its Allegris first-class product onto more transatlantic flights to the United States, widening a premium-cabin refresh that has been rolling out in stages across its long-haul network.
The airline's Suite Plus, its most premium Allegris first-class option, is now appearing on Munich flights to New York-JFK, Newark, Chicago, Miami and San Diego through Oct. 24, 2026. Lufthansa is then set to add Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., from Munich in the winter schedule, which runs from Oct. 25, 2026 through March 28, 2027.
A broader North America rollout
Lufthansa is also using Allegris-equipped Boeing 787s on Frankfurt routes to Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and Toronto, broadening the product beyond its Munich hub.
That makes the first-class rollout part of a wider North America push, not just a one-off cabin debut. Lufthansa has been introducing Allegris in phases across different aircraft and cabin classes, with the premium product now reaching more of its long-haul flying.
What Suite Plus offers
People reported that the Suite Plus is designed for two travelers and can convert into a double bed. The product also includes a 43-inch 4K entertainment screen, tablet-based controls for privacy and comfort settings, and Lufthansa's first-class dining service, including caviar.
The Allegris brand covers economy, premium economy, business and first class, but the Suite Plus is the flagship version of the refresh and the version most likely to attract attention from high-yield leisure and corporate travelers.
Why it matters
For Lufthansa, the expansion is about more than a cabin upgrade. Premium seating on transatlantic routes is a core revenue driver, and airlines use headline products like first class to sharpen their brand positioning on competitive U.S.-Europe routes.
The timing also matters. Lufthansa has already worked through certification issues on parts of its Allegris rollout, especially on the Boeing 787 side, and is now pushing the product onto more bookable long-haul flying.
What to watch next
The remaining question is whether Lufthansa will publish a fuller route map or booking detail showing exactly which aircraft carry Suite Plus on each flight and whether all listed routes are available on every frequency.
For now, the rollout shows Lufthansa moving its flagship first-class product from a limited introduction toward a broader North American deployment.
