Dublin City Council says Harcourt Road in Dublin 2 will close overnight this weekend for planned works, with diversions in place and pedestrian access maintained.

The closure is scheduled to run from 10pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026, until 7am on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Closure details

The affected stretch runs from the junction with Leeson Street Lower to the junction with Harcourt Street. Parts of Harcourt Lane, Albert Place and Earlsfort Terrace are also included in the closure area.

Local access will be permitted where possible from closure points, and traffic marshals are expected to manage the closure and help with traffic flow.

Diversions

Diversions are listed for traffic arriving from Leeson Street Upper, Leeson Street Lower and Adelaide Road.

The route options named by the council include Leeson Street Lower, Leeson Street Upper, St Stephen's Green, Cuffe Street, Wexford Street, Camden Street Lower, Charlotte Way, Sussex Road, Grand Parade, Canal Road, Richmond Street South, Hatch Place and Hatch Street Lower.

Road users have been told to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
