Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced two business expansions that are expected to create 144 jobs and more than $4 million in capital investment in Wayne and Oakland counties.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced Monday that two business expansions by Aries and Pratt Miller are expected to create 144 jobs and more than $4 million in capital investment in southeast Michigan.
The state said Aries plans to create 94 jobs in Wayne County and invest more than $1 million. Pratt Miller is expected to add 50 jobs in Oakland County and invest nearly $3 million.
The announcement did not identify any broader policy change. It framed the projects as separate private-sector expansions supported by the state.
Michigan’s economic development records also list Pratt Miller’s New Hudson project as an approved performance-based grant with 50 projected jobs. Pratt Miller’s website lists New Hudson, Michigan, as its headquarters.
The governor’s office said the combined projects add up to 144 new jobs across the two counties and more than $4 million in investment. No earlier major-publication report of the combined announcement was identified in the research for this story.
