Company response and context

Morningstar Farms is a plant-based brand owned by Kellanova and now part of Mars. A company spokesperson said no other Morningstar Farms products are affected by the recall.

The contamination concern appears to be a targeted foreign-object recall involving specific date codes rather than a broader brand-wide issue. The source of the possible plastic pieces has not been described publicly.

Retailers and regulators may still issue follow-up notices as the recall is handled.
