Mphasis said it has acquired Vancouver-based Theory and Practice Business Intelligence Inc., adding the Continuum AI platform to its AI offering.

Mphasis said on April 21 that it has acquired Theory and Practice Business Intelligence Inc., a Vancouver-based company known for its Continuum AI platform.

In its announcement, the company said the deal strengthens its decisioning intelligence capabilities. The reported consideration is CAD 10 million upfront plus up to CAD 20 million in contingent payments.

Theory and Practice Business Intelligence, also called TAP or Theory+Practice, has positioned Continuum AI as a business-growth platform focused on decision intelligence.

The acquisition adds another AI-related asset to Mphasis’ portfolio as larger IT services companies continue to expand into automation, analytics and decision-support tools.

What was announced

The company’s statement said the transaction was disclosed on April 21, 2026. Available reporting did not confirm any broader integration timeline or financial impact beyond the purchase terms.

Why it matters

The deal suggests Mphasis is continuing to push into higher-value AI services, with decision intelligence becoming a more visible part of its product and services strategy.
