Saudi official coverage and international reporting say pilgrims completed the final stoning rites and Farewell Tawaf, marking the end of the 2026 Hajj.
Pilgrims have completed the final rites of the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia, with official Saudi coverage saying they finished the last Jamarat stoning on the final day of Tashreeq before performing the Farewell Tawaf at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
The Saudi Press Agency said pilgrims moved from Mina to the Grand Mosque after the last stoning ritual, marking the end of the main rites for those leaving the pilgrimage. International reporting on Friday and Saturday also said pilgrims were completing the farewell circumambulation around the Kaaba and beginning their journeys home.
AP reported earlier in the week that pilgrims had gathered in Mina for the symbolic stoning ritual, one of the last major acts of Hajj. By May 30, Saudi authorities and regional outlets described the season as successfully completed.
The annual pilgrimage is one of the largest gatherings in the Islamic calendar, drawing millions of Muslims to Mecca and the surrounding holy sites each year. This year's conclusion comes after several days of rites in Mina and Mecca, with the final ceremonies now complete for departing pilgrims.
