The National Center for Families Learning has opened applications for a new request for proposals aimed at piloting multigenerational STEM learning programs.
NCFL said the initiative, called Family Learning Pathways to In-Demand STEM Careers, will award three seed grants of up to $50,000 each. The programs are intended for students in grades 6-12 and their parents or caregivers.
According to the organization, awardees will receive training, resources and technical assistance from NCFL.
Key dates
The RFP was announced on May 18, 2026. NCFL has scheduled an informational webinar for June 2, 2026, and applications are due June 18, 2026.
NCFL describes its family learning model as multigenerational and community-connected, and the new RFP extends that approach into STEM workforce learning.
The announcement is an official grant opportunity rather than a completed award decision, so the immediate next step is the application process and the upcoming webinar.
