The NCUA says comments on the fifth round of its Deregulation Project proposals are due by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on April 13.
The National Credit Union Administration says comments on the fifth round of its Deregulation Project proposals are due Monday, April 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
The official notice covers proposed changes to rules on credit union-to-bank conversions, mergers and voluntary termination or conversion of insured status. It also includes a proposal to rescind IRPS 06-1, the agency’s interpretive guidance on chartering and field-of-membership rules for federal credit unions.
NCUA says rescinding IRPS 06-1 would reduce duplicative guidance.
The agency’s Deregulation Project page also lists the item with the same April 13 comment deadline. Trade association coverage in early April had already flagged the approaching deadline for the broader round of proposals.
The comment window closes later Monday, and no extension has been announced.
