Nelnet Business Services said it acquired Invision Digital, owner of the Passtab, Resitab and Entrytab brands, expanding its education technology footprint.

Nelnet Business Services said on April 30 that it acquired Australia-based Invision Digital Pty Ltd, the company behind the Passtab, Resitab and Entrytab brands.

The deal expands Nelnet's education technology footprint and folds the brands into Nelnet International, according to the company's announcement. Reuters-syndicated coverage said Passtab is a school visitor, contractor and compliance management platform used in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Nelnet did not disclose financial terms in the materials reviewed. It was also not immediately clear whether the transaction had fully closed or whether any customary conditions still remained.

The acquisition gives Nelnet a stronger position in school safety and compliance software, an area that has become increasingly important for schools managing visitors, contractors and front-office operations.

Passtab's official site describes the platform as a school-facing visitor management and front-office operations tool. Nelnet said the acquired brands will operate within its international business unit.
