Ukraine’s General Staff reported 226 combat engagements, heavy Russian losses and fresh drone activity, while AP reported civilian casualties in Odesa and Kherson.
Ukraine’s General Staff said there were 226 combat engagements on the front line over the past 24 hours, underscoring the intensity of fighting across the war zone.
In its daily bulletin, the General Staff said Russian forces carried out 76 airstrikes and dropped 247 guided aerial bombs. It also reported Russian losses of 1,180 personnel, 16 armored combat vehicles, 34 artillery systems, 2 multiple-launch rocket systems and 1,039 operational-tactical drones over the same period.
Separate AP reporting described fresh drone strikes in southern Ukraine. A Russian drone attack on Odesa wounded 14 people, including two children, and damaged residential neighborhoods and other civilian infrastructure. In Russian-held Kherson region, a Ukrainian drone strike killed two civilians in the village of Dnipriany, according to Moscow-installed authorities.
The latest figures point to a war that remains highly active on both the front line and in the rear areas where drone attacks continue to cause civilian harm. The counts from the General Staff are battlefield claims, while the casualty figures from Odesa and Kherson came from AP’s reporting and local authorities.
The next development to watch is whether later official updates significantly revise the casualty counts or change the picture on the ground as the fighting and drone exchanges continue.
