Sindh Mpox Cases Rise to 25 After Two New Infections

Sindh’s mpox case count has risen to 25 after two new infections were confirmed in the province, according to Pakistani media reports citing health officials.

The new cases were reported from Karachi and Khairpur. Dawn and other outlets said the province’s total now stands at 25 confirmed mpox infections in 2026.

The Sindh Health Department has also reported 122 suspected mpox cases as of April 14 and said it is expanding its response. Measures include isolation wards, sample transport coordination, surveillance units, contact tracing and infection-control steps.

The latest update adds to concern over the spread of the virus in the province, even as officials continue to work through testing and containment efforts.
