Some parts of Los Angeles County could see light rain Tuesday as a weak spring storm moves through Southern California.
The National Weather Service forecast page for the Los Angeles and Oxnard area showed a Wind Advisory in effect and rain likely after late morning for parts of the region. Local forecasts said the most noticeable effects would be stronger winds inland and a drop in temperatures, while many neighborhoods could stay dry.
NBC Los Angeles reported that light rain could reach parts of Los Angeles County Tuesday afternoon. LAist said the system could bring light rain, wind gusts and cooler weather to Los Angeles and Ventura counties. ABC7 Los Angeles also reported rain chances for Los Angeles and Orange counties, along with lower temperatures after the recent warm spell.
The latest forecast suggests the storm is relatively minor, with the heaviest rain expected to remain north of the region. Even so, the combination of wind and cooler air could be noticeable across the basin and inland areas.
Weather conditions can change quickly with spring systems like this one, so residents should check updated forecasts from the National Weather Service through the day.
