Sources: Curry expected to return vs. Rockets

Stephen Curry is expected to return for the Warriors on Sunday against the Rockets, according to multiple reports.

ESPN reported that Curry is expected to receive official clearance after two successful scrimmages. ABC7 San Francisco said he is expected to practice with the team on Saturday before being available for Sunday’s game.

Curry has missed 27 consecutive games because of a persistent right knee issue. NBC Sports also reported that he is on track to be cleared for the matchup in Houston.

The development would give Golden State a major boost with the postseason approaching. Curry remains the centerpiece of the Warriors’ offense, and his return would come after a long absence that stretched across most of the final month of the regular season.

The Warriors have not yet issued a formal confirmation, but the reporting points to Curry being available when Golden State faces Houston on Sunday.
