TDConnex said it has opened its sixth manufacturing facility in Xiamen, a new 800,000-square-foot campus that expands metal injection molding capacity for micro-precision components.

TDConnex said on May 18 that it opened its sixth manufacturing facility in Xiamen, China, adding a new 800,000-square-foot campus to its production network.

The company said the site expands its metal injection molding capacity by more than 1 billion units per year and is aimed at serving demand for high-precision micro-components used in technology supply chains.

The announcement marks a new step in TDConnex's manufacturing buildout in China. The company's official website describes it as a global micro-precision manufacturer with campuses in China, India and Singapore.

Local-government coverage in Xiamen had previously described the smart components factory project in Haicang District as nearing production launch and expected to begin formal production in May.

TDConnex did not say in the announcement whether the new site has fully ramped up production beyond the opening.
