TEDCO said it invested $100,000 from its Pre-Seed Builder Fund in Baltimore startup Sommos, which builds an AI product for capturing and organizing family stories across generations.

TEDCO said on May 18, 2026 that it made a recent $100,000 investment in Sommos through its Pre-Seed Builder Fund.

The Maryland innovation agency said Sommos is a Baltimore startup building an AI product designed to help families record voices, organize stories and preserve memories across generations.

According to TEDCO, the Pre-Seed Builder Fund sits under its Social Impact Funds umbrella. The company’s CEO is Nicole Foster.

The announcement adds another early-stage bet in Maryland’s startup ecosystem, with TEDCO continuing to back companies it says can create social impact as they develop their products.

No additional financing details were disclosed in the release.
