The announcement, published June 4, said the team will extend the brokerage’s reach across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and Westchester County.
According to the company, Leifer previously led a team at Compass and has more than $1 billion in career transaction volume.
The move adds another foothold for Real in one of the country’s most competitive residential markets, where brokerage firms continue to use team acquisitions and recruiting to gain local scale.
No additional integration timeline or hiring targets were disclosed in the announcement.
