Uniti Wholesale said it added new dark fiber agreements in Jackson, launched a metro build in Birmingham and secured a colocation deal in Tulsa, expanding its footprint across Mississippi, Alabama and Oklahoma.

Uniti Wholesale said it has expanded its network and colocation footprint with new customer agreements and infrastructure builds in Mississippi, Alabama and Oklahoma.

The company said its Jackson, Mississippi market added new metro dark fiber agreements representing 4,313 contracted fiber miles. In Birmingham, Alabama, Uniti said it began a new 69-route-mile metro build that includes high-count fiber and multiple conduits.

Uniti also said it secured a new 50-rack colocation agreement in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The announcement suggests Uniti is continuing to deepen its wholesale presence in South-Central and Southeastern U.S. markets through a mix of metro fiber construction and data center capacity.

The company did not disclose the customer names for the new agreements or provide financial terms for the deals.
