UNMC and Nebraska Medicine say personal devices used for work apps will move from Intelligent Hub to Microsoft Intune Company Portal, with the change due by July 27.

UNMC and Nebraska Medicine are changing how staff access work apps on personal devices, moving users from Intelligent Hub to Microsoft Intune Company Portal by Monday, July 27, 2026.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center said in a May 18 update that the current device-management platform is being retired. The change applies to employees using personal phones, tablets and other BYOD devices for work applications.

UNMC said the transition should cause very little disruption, with core apps and data expected to continue working. The update did not indicate major service interruptions.

What changes

Users who currently rely on Intelligent Hub for personal-device access to work apps will need to switch to Microsoft Intune Company Portal before the deadline.

Microsoft describes Company Portal as the Intune app used to sign in and manage access on enrolled devices.

What comes next

UNMC’s earlier March 9 notice said the health system was already moving through a broader mobile-device-management transition. The May 18 announcement is the first specific public deadline for personal-device app access.

For now, the key date is July 27, when the transition must be completed.
