Volkswagen Group says it will unveil four world premieres in Beijing ahead of Auto China 2026 as it expands its China-specific EV push.

Volkswagen Group says it will unveil four world premieres at its Group Media Night in Beijing on April 21, ahead of Auto China 2026.

The company said the new models will include a JETTA show car, a second ID. UNYX model, FAW-Volkswagen’s first all-electric ID. AURA model and the exterior design of the AUDI E7X. Volkswagen is using the event to highlight how far its China-specific product strategy has advanced.

The preview is part of a larger electric-vehicle push. Volkswagen Group said it plans to launch more than 20 new electrified vehicles in China in 2026.

The company has been leaning harder into local development as it competes for share in the world’s largest auto market. Its Beijing show appearance comes shortly before Auto China 2026 opens on April 24 and runs through May 3.

Volkswagen did not provide full technical details in the preview release, but it positioned the Beijing event as the next stage of its local EV offensive. The group said the new products and AI-linked systems are part of an “in China, for China” approach.

For investors and industry watchers, the message is clear: Volkswagen is continuing to localize its China lineup rather than rely on global models alone.
