Watch Charli XCX Let Loose in Video for New Song “Wink Wink”

Charli XCX has released “Wink Wink,” a new song that arrives with a music video and marks the third preview from her upcoming album Music, Fashion, Film.

The video was directed by Aidan Zamiri, who has been part of the visual rollout around the project. In the clip, Charli moves through a series of playful scenes that include eating strawberries in a field, washing window panes, and sneaking onto a roof.

“Wink Wink” follows earlier singles “Rock Music” and “SS26,” continuing the staged rollout for the album. Pitchfork reported that the b-sides tied to those earlier singles are not part of the album tracklist.

The new release also adds another piece to the album’s public identity, which has been shaped by its collaborators and imagery. Coverage around Music, Fashion, Film has identified John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese on the cover art.

Album timeline

Music, Fashion, Film is scheduled for release on July 24 via Atlantic. Charli has also pushed back on the idea that the record should be treated as a rock album, even as the campaign has unfolded in stages through 2026.

The new single now sets the project up for its next milestone: the full album release later this month.
