A water main break at Broad and Main streets in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, has prompted a boil water advisory for the borough and the Zullinger area.
Officials said the system lost positive water pressure after the break. The advisory is expected to last about three days.
Residents were told to boil water for at least one minute before drinking and for other household uses, including making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation.
Local reporting said the disruption also affected school schedules in the area.
Officials have not yet said when the advisory will be lifted.
