woom announced woom Exchange, an official resale marketplace for pre-owned bikes built with Archive, with phased rollout beginning in mid-May.
woom is launching an official resale marketplace for its kids’ bikes in partnership with Archive.
The company announced on April 22 that the program, called woom Exchange, will roll out in phases starting in mid-May. The first phase will let customers list pre-owned woom bikes on woom.com. A later phase will open purchases of authenticated pre-owned models.
woom said the marketplace is meant to extend the life of its bikes and support a circular-economy model. The company is framing the program as both a sustainability effort and a way to keep products in use longer.
The launch announcement was first distributed through PR Newswire and echoed on woom’s own website. Archive also describes a trade-in workflow on its site, consistent with the role it is expected to play in the resale program.
woom did not provide a public start date beyond the mid-May rollout window. The company did not disclose how many bikes it expects to list at launch or any broader expansion plans.
